Vergelegen is the venue for South Africa’s premier Afro-symphonic musical spectacle, the RMB Starlight Classics, on Friday 13 March and Saturday 14 March. The concerts will be staged on the great lawn, near the historic manor house, against a backdrop of camphors and other mature trees.

The line-up will feature a compelling mix of popular and classical music, performed by an outstanding cast including lyric mezzo-soprano Megan Kahts, operatic and bel canto tenor Levy Sekgapane, award-winning singer-songwriter Arno Carstens, and the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra.

Guests are invited to bring their own picnics and camp chairs. Coffee and wine will be available for purchase on site (no bring-your-own wine permitted).

Long communal tables stretch through the vines as seasonal gourmet dishes are prepared over open flames, celebrating meat on fire, artisanal techniques and bold harvest flavours. Each course is thoughtfully designed around the wines and the land from which they come.
