Clay & Wine and Contribute – Creative Fundraiser at Brookdale Estate (Saturday 13 September 2025)
Uncork your creativity at Brookdale Estate in the Paarl Winelands, where fine wine, inspired cuisine, and artistic expression will come together for a meaningful cause on Saturday 13 September 2025.
Hosted in partnership with the social impact organisation Call to Care, this unique Brookdale Clay & Wine fundraising event invites guests to a morning of art, flavour, and purpose in a guided workshop where guests will sculpt, paint and decorate their own clay jewellery tray to take home.
Call to Care is a Cape-based non-profit organisation dedicated to uplifting vulnerable communities. By focusing on education, youth development, and basic needs support, they work tirelessly to create sustainable, long-term change for those most in need.
Guests will be welcomed at the Bistro at Brookdale with a glass of bubbly on arrival, followed by tastings of two Brookdale Mason Road wines, enjoyed with one of the elegantly plated small dishes. Choose between Duck liver pâté; Miso aubergine; or Bobotie tortellini in a feast for the senses that mirrors the creativity of the day.
For those wishing to extend the experience, Brookdale invites you to relax and savour a seasonal 2-course lunch (R425) or indulge in the full 3-course offering (R565) at the estate’s elegant bistro-style restaurant amongst the vineyards.
More than just a creative culinary adventure, proceeds from Brookdale’s Clay & Wine event will contribute to the support of underserved communities across the Western Cape.

The Paarl winery’s immersive Dinner of Discovery series is taking wine lovers on an exhilarating sensory adventure, and it’s been a runaway success. The June and July editions were fully booked within days of being announced, and limited tickets now remain for the remaining dates in August and September.
Presented under the bold and imaginative theme of “The African Table”, this year’s edition explores the flavours, fragrances, sounds, textures and stories of the continent through curated menus and paired Nederburg wines, all brought to life across unexpected locations on the farm.
But this isn’t your standard dinner and wine pairing.
Think blindfolds. Mystery wines. Unexpected aromas. Music that shifts your perception. A table in a place you can’t even imagine.
The journey begins the moment you arrive. A glass of award-winning wine is placed in your hand, but without your sense of sight, will you know if it’s red or white? When that visual cue is removed, your focus sharpens. Aromas bloom, textures come alive, flavours unfold in surprising ways.
You swirl. You sip. You taste differently. You feel differently. Suddenly, wine becomes a playground for the senses.
This is the heart of Nederburg’s Yours to Explore philosophy: wine as experience, discovery and connection.
Says Nederburg general manager, Kate Jackson, “The event ties in with our brand promise that there’s a table waiting for you in places you can't even imagine. Not just physical places, but also imagined ones, where your senses are fully alive. In the end, wine is a feeling, a memory, a pleasure that connects us to each other and ourselves. We want guests to apply all their senses when they visit us. To be present. To play. And to discover something memorable.”

Each event in the series celebrates a different culinary thread from the African continent, creatively interpreted with modern flair and thoughtful wine pairings:
