On the 13th and 14th of June 2025, Chef Wandile Mabaso of Le Creatifs Restaurant will join Eat Out Chef of the Year, Chef Johannes in his kitchen at the award-winning Living Room at Summerhill.

A continuation of their first collaboration, this iteration, “A Celebration: Roots Revisited,” will see the chefs deliver a deeply expressive multi-course dining experience rooted in tradition, heritage and the beauty of local ingredients.

Each course will be paired with a curated selection of premium South African wine or a bespoke non-alcoholic pairing, crafted in-house by Johanna Richter ,sommelier and front-of-house lead. Her offerings include seasonal ferments, botanical cordials, and fresh juices.

PARKING – The Troyeville Hotel maintains security personnel stationed at both its front and back entrances. For your convenience, we recommend parking on Wilhelmina Street, located at the rear of the hotel. Front entrance is perfect for Uber / Bolt / taxi drop-offs and pickups.

ROOFTOP ACCESS – We have both stair and elevator access to the rooftop.

ROOFTOP VENUE – While we take pride in offering some of the most stunning Jozi skyline views, please note that our venue is outdoors. As the sun sets and temperatures may drop, we advise you to bring along something warm to ensure your comfort throughout and after the event.
