This 24 September, we’re bringing a little Italian spirit to a proudly South African tradition. Think fires lit, lamb turning on the spit, wine flowing, a generous harvest table and an afternoon that’s meant to be enjoyed slowly.

Our Heritage Day Braai Picnic brings together the best of both worlds: a beautifully packed picnic basket filled with local cheeses, charcuterie, garden-inspired salads and South African favourites, complemented by live-fire cooking straight from the braai.

Expect Monkeygland-marinated beef sosaties, apricot and rooibos-glazed chicken, smoked bacon and cherry “Looies”, and a Vleiswinkel Boerewors Bar serving three regional takes on a South African classic: Heritage Wors, Kaapse Wors and Karoo Wors.
