This Summer Season, we are delighted to present a special collaboration between 9th Avenue Marina and the KZN Philharmonic Orchestra.

On Thursday, 5th of March, guests will begin the evening with a luxurious three-course dinner at 9th Avenue Marina at 17:30, complemented by an exclusive Minuty Rosé wine tasting.

At 18:30, a complimentary shuttle service will transport guests to the Playhouse Opera Theatre for the KZN Philharmonic Orchestra’s 2026 Summer Symphony concert featuring top international artists, before returning them to the Marina after the performance to continue the culinary experience.

Vergelegen is the venue for South Africa’s premier Afro-symphonic musical spectacle, the RMB Starlight Classics, on Friday 13 March and Saturday 14 March. The concerts will be staged on the great lawn, near the historic manor house, against a backdrop of camphors and other mature trees.

The line-up will feature a compelling mix of popular and classical music, performed by an outstanding cast including lyric mezzo-soprano Megan Kahts, operatic and bel canto tenor Levy Sekgapane, award-winning singer-songwriter Arno Carstens, and the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra.

Guests are invited to bring their own picnics and camp chairs. Coffee and wine will be available for purchase on site (no bring-your-own wine permitted).
