One of the most recognisable moments at Vergenoegd Löw happens twice each day as the estate’s Indian Runner Ducks make their way through the farm.

Deeply woven into the history and identity of the estate, the duck run reflects the natural rhythm of life at Vergenoegd Löw - where heritage, biodiversity and working farm life continue to exist side by side.

Guests are invited to experience this daily tradition while enjoying the many offerings across the estate, from wine tastings and seasonal dining at Geuwels to luxury stays and slow afternoons in the Winelands.

Join us for our Heritage Afternoon Tea, celebrating the flavours, traditions and nostalgic favourites that make South African food so distinctive. From braaibroodjie fingers with peach and onion chutney to milk tart choux buns, malva cake pops and Rooibos & Amarula crème brûlée, classic local flavours are thoughtfully reimagined for a refined afternoon tea experience. A celebration of South African heritage, served throughout September.

Friday nights, with a little MADD magic. Make your Friday night more memorable at Marks at Hazendal Wine Estate, where Music, Artistry, Dance and Drama come together in an atmospheric setting overlooking the working wine cellar.
