Spring is in full bloom at Hazendal, bringing new flavours, seasonal favourites and fresh reasons to linger a little longer. Throughout October, visitors can discover a new menu at Siyalima, enjoy picnics among the gardens, taste the latest Bottelary Hills Rosé vintage and experience a seasonal take on Hazendal’s much-loved Afternoon Tea.

A new season at Siyalima …

Inspired by the land and guided by the seasons, Siyalima introduces a new bistro menu and breakfast offering that celebrates thoughtful, ingredient-led cooking. Drawing on produce from the estate’s harvest garden wherever possible, the menus reflect a strong sense of place, respect for provenance and an appreciation for nature’s changing abundance.

Tuesday, Wednesday and Sunday: 08:00–17:00
Thursday to Saturday: 08:00–21:00

Spring picnics in bloom …

Hazendal’s gardens provide the setting for Spring Picnics in Bloom, inviting guests to slow down and savour the season. The picnic spread features garden-inspired flavours, local cheeses, charcuterie, fresh salads and delicate pastries, enjoyed among the estate’s spring blooms.

A taste of spring: Bottelary Hills Rosé 2026

The new Bottelary Hills Rosé 2026 vintage has arrived, offering a fresh seasonal pour for leisurely lunches, afternoons in the garden and spring picnics. Visitors can raise a glass to the new season while enjoying the latest vintage at Hazendal.

A seasonal take on Afternoon Tea

A Hazendal favourite receives a fresh seasonal expression this spring. The Afternoon Tea experience begins with a floral cocktail on arrival, followed by an assortment of sweet and savoury treats inspired by the colours and flavours of the Cape.

Highlights include lemon scones, pulled lamb with waterblommetjie pickle and delicate seasonal sweets, accompanied by live piano music.
