12 Creation Running Heroes Take on the Nelson Mandela Marathon for Pebbles

Twelve Creation Running Heroes are taking on the Nelson Mandela Marathon on 18 October 2026, with one shared goal: to raise R30,000 for the Pebbles Project.
On 18 October 2026, thousands of runners will take to the roads wearing one significant number: 46664, Nelson Mandela's prison number. They will be running for more than a personal best, a finishing time or the distance ahead. Together, they will make every kilometre count.
Across the full marathon, half marathon and 10km, Creation's Running Heroes are lacing up for one shared cause: supporting the children of the Pebbles Project.
For some, the race represents a personal first. For others, it means stepping well beyond their usual distance. But every one of the 12 runners is taking on the challenge for the same reason – to make a difference in the lives of children.
Every Rand Makes a Difference
The fundraising target is R30,000, with every rand raised going directly to the Pebbles Project and directed to where it is needed most at the school.
Funds will help provide essential support, from meals for pupils, stationery and school uniforms to improvements to the school's sports courts.
