With its breathtakingly strong decorative features, the dramatic Zagora Grill Room Restaurant serves a delicious fusion of North-African and International Cuisine.

The name ‘Zagora’ comes from the name of a town in the valley of the Drâ’a River in Souss-Massa-Drâ’a, south-eastern Morocco. Originally it was called ‘Tazagourt’, Berber for ‘twin peaks’, referring to the form of the mountain.

The aromas from the kitchen, and eclectic blend of fresh ingredients and spices, creativity and passion, provide the foundation for an extraordinary dining sojourn – in splendid surroundings.

Dine inside the formal restaurant, al fresco around the pool, at the pergola underneath the stars, or somewhere private just for two!

Zagora Grill Room has an à la carte menu available as well as buffets on Thursdays and Sundays.

The Royal Elephant Conference Centre provides for a wide variety of conferences and functions.

This Afro-Moroccan multi-purpose centre can seat up to 320 people banquet style, 500 people cinema style and up to 300 delegates schoolroom style. The facilities include 13 multi-purpose venues.

Chef Andrew is an award-winning chef who has represented South Africa at the World Culinary Cup and American Culinary Classics, bringing home two gold and two silver medals respectively.

Chef Andrew, who prides himself in having 36 years experience in a cross-section of cuisine, trained at the Wits Hotel School before embarking on a career that has taken him from the kitchens of some great African hotels such as the Cape Grace, Lord Charles and Rosebank Hotel. Today, Andrew Hammond is the celebrated Executive Chef at Royal Elephant, delighting guests with mouth-watering cuisines!
