We specialize in Traditional Cape Malay Cooking
Based at the Portswood Hotel in the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront, The Quarter Kitchen Restaurant is situated in an original section of the Breakwater Convict Station erected in 1860. With an enviable heritage and history the Quarter Kitchen serves authentic Cape Malay dishes as well as other meal options.
Head Chef Wade Kearns' specialty is the Chef's Feast, a three-course meal including the most popular dishes on the menu carefully selected by him. This meal allows diners to savor the unique flavors evident in Malay cooking.
The Quarter Kitchen Restaurant has a boardroom that seats up to a maximum of 10, and is ideal for meetings or conferences after a meal.
The Link Bar in the Quarter Kitchen Restaurant allows guests to sip on a cocktail or iced cold drink with a scenic view of Table Mountain and our magnificent garden.
