Suikerbossie Restaurant

Suikerbossie Restaurant and Function Venue, has magnificent views overlooking the valley of Hout Bay, with Chapman’s Peak and the bay below, flanked on the west by Llandudno beach and Table Mountain forming a backdrop to the Restaurant.

An A ‘la Carte menu is served from Tuesday to Friday for Breakfast, Lunch and Tea.  On Sundays and Public holidays a Breakfast buffet and Roast Lunch are on offer.  Booking is essential.

The setting provides a wonderful atmosphere for your Wedding day or Function where pre-drinks and starters can be served on the lawn, while photographs are taken.

Weddings and Functions are co-ordinated by owners David and Miki Smith, who have operated this successful Restaurant since 1990.The team is completed by Head Chef Brian Smit and the friendly front-of-house team headed-up by Manager, Hans Dos reis.

Suikerbossie boasts a Kosher Kitchen under the supervision of The Beth Din, which allows the restaurant to host Kosher weddings and functions.

The Venue is also HALAAL FRIENDLY– no certification could be granted by the Muslim Judicial Council because there is a fully licensed bar on the premises. All meat is purchased from a Halaal butcher.  The bar area can be closed off from The Restaurant with screens.

There is a Halaal Option available for strictly Halaal Weddings, whereby one’s own Halaal Certified caterers may be used. There is a cost structure in place for this option which can be discussed with the owner, David.

Suikerbossie has two venues available and caters for: Corporate Functions, Weddings, Family Celebrations, Conferences, Kosher Functions, Matric Farewells and University Residence Dances

Hout Bay’s Hidden Jewel is just 15 minutes from the Cape Town City Centre. Suikerbossie provides an ideal place for you to spend your day in tranquil surroundings, catered by an accommodating team in this owner run and managed Venue.
