V&A Waterfront calls on local food entrepreneurs to apply for kitchen incubator programme
25 November 2025
Are you a local food entrepreneur with a small business? The V&A Waterfront's Makers Landing Kitchen Incubator Programme is looking for production-focused, scalable food and beverage companies to join its sixth annual business incubator programme.
The 12-month initiative guides small business owners through structured development phases, providing access to commercial kitchen facilities, business training and mentorship.
Participants receive business development support, technical training and access to specialised kitchen equipment, as well as connections to funding opportunities, market access and industry networks, alongside product development guidance.
Programme Structure
The incubator has three phases over 12 months:
Pre-incubation (3 months): Baseline assessments identify business gaps and priorities. Participants work with mentors to develop strategic growth plans and establish key focus areas.
Incubation (5 months): The core phase covers operational scaling, funding readiness, brand development, market strategy and regulatory compliance. Regular progress reviews help track implementation and adjust plans as needed.
Growth (4 months): Focus shifts to market exposure, expanding distribution channels and building sustainable business practices for post-programme independence.
How to Apply
