Ernie Els 2023 Major Series Cabernet Sauvignon Awarded Gold at the Global Cabernet Sauvignon Masters

Ernie Els Winery has announced the release of their The 2023 Major Series Cabernet Sauvignon. This new vintage was awarded a Gold Medal (95 Points) at the 2025 Global Cabernet Masters, where it was recognized as one of the top Cabernet Sauvignons in the world.
Held in London, the Global Cabernet Masters is judged by some of the most respected palates in the industry, including Masters of Wine and Master Sommeliers, with under 20% of entries achieving a Gold or Master medal.
Winemaker Louis Strydom credits the success to his continued experimentation and evolution in the cellar. “My winemaking techniques evolve with every vintage,” he says. “For 2023, I worked with amphorae, concrete, and oak to bring clarity, purity, and structure to the wine, crafting a Cabernet that’s built to age with grace.”
