Capsicum Culinary Studio Open Day 2024 - A career in food opens a bounty of opportunities!

South Africa’s largest chef school, Capsicum Culinary Studio, will be hosting an Open Day at its six campuses countrywide on Saturday, May 11, from 9:00 to 12:00 for those who want to enrol in the school’s July intake and for those still deciding what to study next year.

Celebrating its 21st year in operation, Capsicum’s range of courses now include the one-year Professional Cookery Programme (full or part-time), the one-year Professional Patisserie Programme, the three-year Advanced Professional Chef Programme, the Occupational Kitchen Hand Programme, Assistant Baker Programme, the Combo Professional Cookery and Pastry Programme and the Combination: Kitchen Hand Occupation Part Qualification and Assistant Baker Skills Programme.

Those who attend the Open Day will be able to interact with the schools’ talented chef lecturers, who are leaders in the culinary field, as well as chat to expert advisors who will assist in making their culinary dreams come true.

Capsicum Culinary Studio courses offer international certification through City and Guilds and are nationally accredited with CATHSSETA and the QCTO,  attributing to their alumni making their mark throughout the world. Capsicum Culinary Studio has a partnership with The Swiss Education Group (SEG) and is a member of The South African Chefs Association, and by extension The World Association of Chefs Societies, exposing learners to international standards and opportunities.

Capsicum Culinary Studio is the largest chef school of its kind in South Africa with six campuses throughout the country including Boksburg, Cape Town, Durban, Gqeberha, Johannesburg and Pretoria.

Since it was established in 2003, Capsicum Culinary Studio has produced over

8 000 alumni, many of whom are working in top positions and at leading institutions all over the world. Employers range from acclaimed restaurateurs to large multi-national hotels and resorts. Others have taken the entrepreneurial route and established their own hospitality-inspired businesses and consultancies.
