A relaxed, authentic gourmet bistro situated in the heart of Cape Town!

manna epicure is a French-South African restaurant open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The passionately-crafted menu is a mix of French and South African cuisines, with an exciting new twist. Our chef has reinterpreted the classic dishes of both countries with a rustic flair.

In addition to recently launching our membership program, manna has been working very hard to be able to cater for a wider market and we noticed the need for more gluten free options, so very soon, manna will be not only be serving a whole range of gluten free bread, desserts and pastries but also be launching a retail range of almost ready to bake goods as well as a wide range of take away cakes and individual desserts.

Our Story:

In the glamorously frenetic world of London hospitality, two extraordinarily different souls came together to cause a delicious, dynamic fusion of the most chic French flair with a rustic South African approach and a passion for conjuring new combinations of both worlds' flavours – all underpinned by classic French styling and a commitment to authenticity.

Hailing from the French island of Corsica.  Agnes personifies all that is sophisticated, delightful and elegant. She gives her guests, not simply a gastronomic adventure, but an exquisite experience for all the senses that linger long after the last mouthful, exemplifying her maxim that service should not only be efficient, but delivered with impeccable heart and style.

Jonny finds his roots deep in the soil of Citrusdal: a boere-seuntjie with international experience, a thirst for knowledge and unendingly delighted by blending South African and French flavours. Inspired principally by South African cuisine and his experience in fine dining restaurants, passion and sheer creativity to bring truly heavenly gourmet to the Manna table.

Sadly Chef Johnny passed away in April 2017, Agnes is now running manna alone with the help of her fantastic team.

manna's team has been the same for the past 8 years, they just needed a strong Chef to lead and develop them further and Chef Bradley is doing just that!

Chef Bradley started his career at Lanzerac hotel in Stellenbosch, then moved to Qatar to open an run the kitchen of a successful upmarket steakhouse until health issues forced him to come back to South Africa where he then worked in several different well established restaurants including Botanicum group where he managed the kitchens of all 3 restaurants before joining manna's team and take over the running of the kitchen to bring it to the next level.
