Evita Bezuidenhout is now 88, always ten years older than her imposter.
She has been in the public domain since 1981 when she, as South African Ambassador to Bapetikosweti, caught the public's ear and eye. She has experienced the dramas of the National Party's chalk becoming the ANC's cheese. Still in the kitchen of Luthuli House, Tannie Evita keeps her opinions carefully to herself.
However, with our most important general election looming in early 2024, some things just cannot be restrained.
Evita at 88 will call a spade a sizwe and prove once again that she is the needed voice in our democratic wilderness.
