Fine dining with the sharks in one of Africa’s favourite restaurants is a must do culinary experience that offers you a nautical and sophisticated ambiance, nestled in the stern of the Phantom ship, with superb views of the ocean and shark tank you will find the recently refurbished and infamous Cargo Hold Restaurant
Executive Chef Warren Frantz with crew mates, Head Chef Sune’ Terblanche and her team, have an exciting a la carte menu, which sees seafaring foodies take delight in a most certainly meets the high standards for which the Cargo Hold has become known.
Expect all the seafood stalwarts – oysters, mussels, calamari, prawns and crayfish – as well as an array of crunchy salads. The Cargo Holds famous seafood platters are included, as are scrumptious mains, flavoursome grills and delectable desserts.
Experience the newly fitted out bar, bench seat dining areas and the famous shark tank. The trendy new vintage look with splashes of contemporary style is equally impressive and the perfect place for you to sample a glass from their award winning wine list.
For starters, you can look forward to many exotic flavours featuring seafood greats; oysters, calamari, as well as spicy chicken livers, risotto balls, mussels, aubergine parmigiano and so much more.
Mains include soups, that of minestrone and bouillabaisse, as well as chicken breast Toscana, baked fish, roasted kassler, lime and chilli prawns, as well as a large and delicious variety of other meals. For those who have a sweet tooth, you have not been forgotten, as there is a range of desserts on offer including baklava, strawberry and black pepper pancakes, and so much more.
Children under the age of 12 years are not permitted for the dinner seating except for Mondays.
(Kindly note that for School Holidays, we allow children for dinner sittings.)
Dinner Dress Code: Smart/Casual (preferably, no open shoes for gents).
Our Corkage Fee is R 75.00 per bottle.
If you wish to bring your own cake, a charge of R48 per person will be applied to the total bill.
All parties of 8 or more will have a service charge of 10% added to the overall total bill.
Tank Tables are reserved 2 – 3 weeks in advanced.
Due to limited space & availability of tank side tables, we cannot always accommodate table's right next to the tank.
