Old Road Wine Company Grand-merè Semillon Wins Trophy for Best Semillon at the Old Mutual Trophy Wine Show

We are proud to announce that our Grand-merè Semillon, from a single 86-year-old vineyard, scored 96 points at the Old Mutual Trophy Wine Show and won the trophy for best Semillon.
This ‘Wine of Origin Franschhoek’ is made from grapes of our unique bush-vine vineyard, planted in 1936, on the outskirts of the Franschhoek Valley. This very special and very old vineyard provides the low-yield harvests of perfect balance, concentration and texture that bring this rare wine to life.
Congratulations to our winemaker Ryan Puttick and his team for creating such an exceptional wine.
