The Franschhoek Cap Classique & Champagne Festival, presented by Capitec and Franschhoek Wine Valley, returns to the Huguenot Monument on 5 and 6 December 2026, setting the scene for an unmissable weekend of summer, style and sparkling wine.

Against the beauty of the Franschhoek Valley, the festival brings together South Africa’s leading Cap Classique producers alongside a select offering of imported Champagnes, under the tagline, ‘Step Into The Light’. Guests can discover an exciting selection to taste and enjoy by the glass or purchase by the bottle, while a curated range of non-alcoholic alternatives makes its debut this year, offering even more ways to join the celebration and raise a glass.

Each ticket includes a commemorative wine flute and ten tasting tokens, while a curated selection of gourmet food vendors will serve dishes designed to complement the fine wines. The weekend’s entertainment will feature live performances by Coda SA, Amy Jones and ShenFM, alongside DJ sets spanning Deep House, Amapiano and Afro-electronic sounds.

Adding a new dimension to the festival, the Crystal Lounge offers an exclusive retreat inspired by light and reflection. Guests will enjoy a welcome cocktail on arrival, access to a private lounge and dedicated luxury restrooms, creating an elegant space to relax, connect and enjoy the festivities.

The much-anticipated Best Dressed Competition returns with the 2026 theme, ‘Colours in Motion’, encouraging guests to embrace movement, flowing fabrics and reflective details, with spectacular prizes awarded for the most stylish interpretations.

With its distinctive blend of fine wine, food, music and fashion, the Franschhoek Cap Classique & Champagne Festival is a highlight of the Cape Winelands summer calendar, inviting guests to raise a glass, embrace the season and celebrate in style.
