Cape Town cocktail bar Fable is changing things up, opening its doors during the day and inviting locals to experience the venue beyond its evening cocktail-bar reputation.

Now open from 12 noon until late, Tuesday to Sunday, Fable’s new daytime offering is designed to be relaxed, approachable and more accessible than many might expect. Guests can drop in for lunch, enjoy good food and cocktails, or simply settle in for a daytime drink without waiting for the sun to go down.

The new daytime hours also come with specials running from 12 noon to 4pm every day, making Fable an option for everyday Cape Town occasions as well as evening outings.

There are also new weekly reasons to visit, with a different special from Tuesday through Sunday.

Tequila Tuesdays bring discounted tequila from 4pm, while Women’s Wednesdays offer ladies 50% off all classics from 4pm.

Thursday brings Thirsty Thursdays, with specials from 4pm, followed by Happy Hour from Friday to Sunday, 4pm to 7pm — a chance to ease into the weekend or wind down when the working week finally comes to an end.

With six days of opening and a new daytime focus, Fable is aiming to shift perceptions of what a cocktail bar can be — offering a more relaxed destination for locals to enjoy throughout the day, with food, cocktails and a series of weekly specials.
