Fans of Indian cuisine are in for a treat with the opening of the award-winning Thava restaurant at GrandWest.

The menu heroes the flavours of Kerala, in the south western tip of India which owner Mathew Abraham describes as a blend of different cultures and religions, “we specialise in using the freshest local ingredients and offer a unique Indian tapas experience. Or offering includes vegetarian, lamb, chicken or seafood options.”

The menu also includes many Indian subcontinent favourites. Diners can expect fragrant curries, biryanis and stews, spicy Tandoori and Masala dishes, all served with traditional breads, rice dishes and an accompaniment of freshly prepared chutneys, pickles or vegetables. The dessert menu features traditional Indian sweets and a selection of speciality coffees.

The dishes can be served as starter portions or as a main, shared meal. Diners can also select a number of combinations from either the set or the daily specials menu.

The restaurant is situated in The District, replacing Bukhara.
