Where the familiar is made spectacular ....
Helena’s Restaurant situated in the historic town of Stellenbosch is a unique restaurant within a beautifully restored building. The Coopmanhuijs building on 33 Church Street was originally built in 1713 and in 2010 was revamped into a stunning five star boutique hotel and spa.
Helena's Restaurant is housed in two areas within the hotel: The first is the sophisticated dining room, decorated with ornate French wallpaper and ornaments representing trees made out of wire. The second is a glass-roofed conservatoire with a warm interior featuring poplar furniture, South African Ruan Hoffman art pieces and crockery by Gerrit Oosthuizen.
The cuisine at Helena's Restaurant is decidedly Cape Provencale with fresh ingredients sourced from the Boland. The European-style Tonga Door wine lounge at Coopmanhuijs boasts a selection of world class South African wines to complement your meal.
