La Dolce Vita is dedicated to bringing the unique tastes and smells of Italy to you in an intimate and romantic setting.
Our menu of select authentic Italian dishes are prepared for you by Head Chef Paige Darare who trained under Italian Chef Guido Luccetta for over 10 years in the infamous Quido’s restaurant Harare and has been with La Dolce Vita for 9 years now, bringing this very essential part of Italy to La Dolce Vita.
Located in the quaint village of Kosmos not only lends itself to al fresco dinning with great views of the Dam but also to the old custom of after diner walks in a safe and secure environment. Most guests staying in Kosmos’s many B & B’s actually take a romantic moonlit stroll to dinner and back. But beware and informed that we have had a 100% success rate of marriage proposals at La Dolce Vita, 368 and counting. Proof of this lays in the number of locks placed on our forever chain by the entrance.
Due to the intimacy of the restaurant we do not allow children under 12, however they are most welcome to join us on the lower level of our Sunday boat cruise when we pack up the restaurant and put it on the boat for a 2 hour Sunday cruise with Harties Boat Company. An Italian feast awaits while we gently cruise the waters of Hartbeespoort Dam shadowed by the Magaliesburg mountain range.

We start off our Harties experience with a “Spritz Venitziano” cocktail in hand as we board for our 2 hour cruise around the Dam, discovering all the hidden estates, coves and interesting waterfront houses along the way. There is something magical about cruising these gentle waters shadowed by the Magaliesburg mountain range.
As we are seated your waitrons will be deliver to your table “Bellissimo” anti pasta starter platters with fresh Italian Breads followed by the opening of our scrumptious Italian Buffet. If by any chance you still have space…decadent Italian dessert will be served. Don’t forget to try our proper “Northwest Moer koffee” which has been brewing since this morning to be just right for you.
Our trip takes us along the Kosmos foreshore to the dam wall, past the zoo and The Transvaal Yacht club. We then hit open water to Oberon and Eagles landing to see some of it’s stunning water front homes, then onto Pecanwood and the Dykes of The Islands Estate ending our trip cruising past Kshane estate and sandy lane golf course.
We dock at 14:30 bid you “Arrivederci” knowing that soon you will be back!
