"Elegantly timeless"

The Restaurant is situated in the original thatch covered and white washed Cape Dutch building and forms part of the historic werf of Buitenverwachting.

The mountain facing terrace allows for iconic views over the vineyards onto the picturesque Constantiaberg, forming part of the UNESCO - World Heritage Site (Table Mountain range). 
The courtyard with established stinkwood trees and traditional Cape fountain is integrated with the Wine Tasting Centre - Coffee Bloc and is geared for informal and relaxed breakfasts, lunches & dinners.

The menu, consisting of retro cuisine, is divided into four categories, Light & Easy, Rustic Affairs, Indulge and Desserts, catering for relaxed and deli style lunches / dinners, but also offering a limited selection of fine dining dishes.

Austrian Chef, Edgar Osojnik, has a Professional Cooking Certificate (three year apprenticeship) from Austria, where he worked for many years, a F&B Diploma and a two year career as Sous Chef for the Grande Roche Relais & Chateaux Hotel in Paarl.

He joined Buitenverwachting in 1997.
